You only have to look at the recent natural disaster in Haiti to put life in perspective and realise that in the UK we really don’t have that much to worry about in life. That said, plenty of people seem to find something to worry and moan and it’s not helped by our rapidly changing culture of pandering.

But, what if you didn’t have such luxuries? What if you had a life that meant that no matter what you had to just carry on regardless – no excuses? The mind is a resilient and resourceful thing when it’s brought to task.

You see it a lot in business too. The luxury of excuses. The one from the past year… the recession.

Take a moment and think about your current problem at work. You may begin to notice some excuses that sit behind it. What would happen if you had to do what you had to do to get over them?
